1. Smoothwall is a gateway that have 2 network interfaces, eth0 ? 60.60.60.1/28 and eth2 128.0.1.254/16 connected to 4210 128.0.9.1 to port 1 and port 2.
All PCs in this network is set as:
IP: 128.0.xxx.xxx
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 128.0.1.254

2. Server 1 and server 2 are connected to 4500 128.0.9.2, port 1 and port 2.

3. In this case, all PC in this network should have internet connection and connected to server 1 and 2.

4. So the switch port of smoothwall in 4210 and servers in 4500 is set as link-type hybrid, pvid 1, vlan 1 untagged, and vlan 2 to16 tagged.

5. The switch port connected between switch 4210 128.0.9.1 and 4500 128.0.9.2 is set as link-type trunk, pvid 1, vlan 1 untagged, and vlan 2 to 16 tagged. This setting is same between switches as trunk port.

6. For switch 4900, 4228G, and 4226T cannot change the switch port link-type, so the switch port connected with other switches is set as vlan 1 untagged, vlan 2 to 16 tagged as trunk port.

The switch port in 4210 for certain PC belong to vlan X(except vlan 1), is set as link-type hybrid, pvid X, vlan X untagged, vlan 1 tagged.

The switch port in 4228G, 4226T for certain PC belong to vlan X(except vlan 1), is set as vlan X untagged, vlan 1 tagged.

However, this setting is not worked. The PCs for vlan X(except vlan 1) in 4210 switch cannot connected to internet and servers. And the connection of PCs for vlan X(except vlan 1) in 4228G and 4226T is unstable, sometime cannot connected to servers.

How to set port-based VLAN in this network?
How to VLANs in 4210 and 4228G switches actually?
How to set the VLANs for vlan 2 to 16 able to connect servers in vlan 1 and get internet connection?
