A D Issue

john.coppin
Have an Exchange 2003 server in an environment with a DC. The issue is that there are NDRs coming every 3 mins in the Event Viewer of the Exchange Server. Is it DNS resolution or some kind of looping.
Also from time to time in Exchange System Manager on the same Exchange 2003 Server. It is giving the error Specified Domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
Facility:Win 32
ID No: c007054b
Microsoft Active Directory. System Extension.

Need some help resolving these issues ASAP. Urgent because the NDRs are stacking up.

Sounds like either DNS or routing. From the server try to resolve DNS names from the command prompt: ping cnn.com or somthing like that.

Try to get out to the internet: tracert cnn.com

also look at this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/252137

The SA may not be starting. Has this server ever worked or is this new?

This server is working. It is an Exchange Server 2003, it is sending mail right now just these two issues. The erros in the event viewer for NDRS and that one that appears to be DNS.
Not sure if there is some damage there in the AD because an Exchange server was deleted using ADSI Edit tool, and then reformatted and this server installed and configured.

Would appreciate your help in this matter.
