Access Database Question

anniebox
I am very new to Access and was somewhat thrown into finishing this project for a former employer. I am working on a database comparing old students test scores to current student test scores. I am working with 10 different tests. When I go to input the test scores it says this, "Index or primary Key cannot contain a Null Value"? What does that mean? How can I fix the issue without starting from scratch? Thank again for your help.

Thanks,
Annie

or make sure you have something in that field....also, the primary key can't have duplicates.

There needs to be a primary key and every record needs to have one. Your best bet would be the student ID number. If you still get the error, check that every record has a value in that field.

"Index or primary Key cannot contain a Null Value"? means the field is blank for one or more records.
