When you setup the Windows Network did you enable File & Printer Sharing?

What you should do is setup the Internet Access Point First and if it's a computer tell it that it connects directly to the Internet and other computers on the Network connect through it. Then when asked enable File & Printer Sharing.

Then on the Other computers on the Network tell them that they connect through another computer on the Network and when prompted enable File & Printer Sharing.

Then when that is done set your Share/s and you right to go.

    Hello there,
Thanks for your fast response. I have not tried the above suggestion but this is what really happened:

Let say the 3 computers name are A, B, C, all running Windows XP Home with SP3. A is the so call, the main computer, where all the shared files and folders on the mapped network drive stored and B and C are connected into it to run the application through the mapped drive. It was working before until a problem happen to the application software, then I had to repair windows and updates all the microsoft updates and the application software was then working fine again. After that, the other 2 PCs were denied access to the shared mapped drive.
All PCs can access to the internet and can see each other through the workgroup, but PC B and C still cannot access the shared mapped drive with the application software. I hope that this will help.

Whenever you do any Windows install/repair it results in a new name for that computer and means that you have to reestablish the Network Settings.

In XP this is found in the Start, All Programs, Accessories, Communication Window.

Left Click on Network Setup Wizard and follow the prompts.

Start with the computer that connects directly tot eh Modem if there is one and when prompted tell it that it connects directly to the Internet and other computers on the Network connect through it. Then when prompted tell the unit that you want File & Printer Sharing Enabled.

Then when finished on that computer go to each of the others and run the Network Setup Wizard on them but with these tell them that they connect to the Internet through another computer on the Network. Also tell them to turn on File & Printer Sharing and use the same Network Name on all of the computers. Do not give each computer a different Network Name. While the different computers need different names for themselves they all need to be on the same network.

When that is finished just open the Folder/s that you want to share and right click on them and select Sharing & Security from the Drop Down Menu and set your preferences.

    Hello there,
I had tried the above, but the problem is that none of the 3 computers have the option of.......connect directly to the internet and other computers on the network connect through it......If I choose the above option and continue on, it give me "Other computers cannot connect through tis computer" It happened on all 3 computers. Please any more ideas and help from somebody.

Try doing what you did the first time you got B and C to connect to A and use the applications.
With the xp repair, the set up of the 3 computers for B and C to use A may have been made not to work.
I'll go look this up and if I find any more information, I'll put it here.
