Active Directory vs. Local Group Policy?

punkinmunkin
Is use of Active Directory always better than use of local group policy? Even in a 5 computer 1 Server shop?

AD allows you to make changes for lots of workstations faster and easier, but also costs more, and requires more planning. Taking care of five workstations manually is not a big deal, in my opinion, but if you expect that number may be 15 or 20 in a couple of years, moving to AD now would be a good plan.

This is an old link comparing AD to GP for Windows 2000
