AD and Password policies

helpdesk
I have applied a password policy at the domain level in which users are to change their passwords after xx days.

However, this policy was created and applied after certain users were over the "xx day" mark, and for some reason, even though the policy is applied, it is still not forcing a password change...any ideas?

you may wish to see if ur user accounts are explicitly set with the 'password never expires' checkbox marked.
This user acount setting will prevent the account's password from expiring via domain policy.

We have some great white papers on implementing and managing a domain change password policy located on our website http://www.sysoptools.com under the Support page.

You may also wish to try out our Password Reminder PRO software which will allow you you to better manage and pre-notify your password expiring users.
