Are Software Downloads at TR a little skimpy on info?

Does anyone beside me wish they could get a little more information (above and beyond the takeaway) for some of these great sounding programs like the following:

Mamutu 3.0.0.19 (Windows)
Mamutu monitors in real time all active programs for dangerous behavior and blocks malicious activities. It recognizes new and unknown trojans, backdoors, keyloggers, worms, viruses, spyware, adware, and rootkits (Zero-Day attacks) without the need of daily signature updates. Read more

Before we download them?

I for one would like a little more of a write-up, possibly a review, before just willy-nilly installing something on my machine.

How about it, TR management? I clicked on the article above and had three choices: run, save, or cancel. Any of you check it out before adding it to your article list? Has it worked for you on (choose your OS)? Does it work over networks? Any glitches?

That's better, OH Smeg. It provides a little more information and there are comments oposted regarding others' experience with it, too. How about having a similar link with EACH recommended software download, maybe on the pop-up page, for people to check out before clickiing OK to run or install?

On a similar note, one I got in a TR newsletter today about SuperRam 6.7.25.2011 (Windows), tries to download a file with no extension - "file type unknown." Are we supposed to just Willy-Nilly rename it as a .exe and hope? :-)
