Open it with notepad and find the lines corresponding to facebook. ex. 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com. Just put a # symbol in front of 127.0.0.1. When you save it, make sure that it is saved WITHOUT the .txt extension. This is accomplished by pulling the option down just below the save as "Filename" dialog. You want it to read "All FIles" Instead of "Txt Files". A thorough explanation of the hosts files and how to use it may be found at this link www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm if you feel like reading it.
