ManiacMan 6 years ago has things like Palm Desktop Software installed that stores database files in the user's My Documents, which if it gets redirected to a server through Group Policy, will display this message. The issue occurs because some desktop applications keep files open, like their own database files, which cannot be synchronized since they are locked at the time. + 0 Votes no palm software, but a .dba file... justins 6 years ago Thanks for the reply. She has a .dba file in her my doucments that she did not know anything about. It just showed up apparently. That same file was also causing an error when sync would happen because .dba files are on the exception list of files that cannot be made available offline. She does not use any kind of mobile device. Active Sync is on the computer but does not start when the computer turns on. I tried turning off offline files and restarting, then enabling them again. That did not work as she still had the problem this morning. Although I am not sure if I disabled the offline files correctly or not. The my documents folder is being redirected through group policy. The problem with the files being open is that this happens most of the time after the computer is just being logged onto. I know sometimes files can be locked into memory. I am unable to verify if this happens after a fresh restart. Any other thoughts? I will post of removing that file cleared up the error. Thanks again!
