Yes, download and burn to a CD gParted, a bootable parftition editor from here http://download.cnet.com/GParted-LiveCD/3000-2094_4-10698802 and boot the gParted CD. Follow the GUI to create new partitions.
Boot to a utility cd that allows you to delete all partitions, whether they be NTFS or another file system....FDISK used to be good for wiping out DOS & non-DOS partitions....I'm not sure if it will delete todays larger partitions.
Once all the partitions are gone, you should be able to create new ones so a clean install of your preferred OS can take place.
Dell laptop wont BOOT!
I am downloading UBUNTU 12 and seeing if I have luck there, but I doubt it. Are there any other suggestions? Any way I can manually remove the corrupted OS and then boot from CD?
I have my files backed up on an external drive and just want any OS to be installed (preferably linux)
