I, too, have a Gateway MT6705 which I've just downgraded to Windows XP. I've read posts where people can't get the unit to recognize the drive when running the install. You have to load additional SATA drivers using the F6 key and files loaded onto a floppy. You'll need a USB floppy drive to make it work. Here's the link where you can get the files:

    http://www.newnanpc.com/software/sata/sata.zip

I managed to get all of that working, but now I have a new problem: that of finding additional drivers that will work with this hardware and WinXP. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
