Forwarding email from a defunct address to new address

drayborne
Is there a software program that will automatically forward email from a defunct email address (one that no longer exists) to a "good" address?

It seems to me like I have seen that type of program a few years ago but haven't seen any of them on the market in a while. I am changing my ISP after 8 years and I would like to think that people who haven't got the word about my new email address will still be able to contact me if they send email to the old one.

Thanks for any reply. Please reply direct to healeybug@yahoo.com.

Thanks
Don

If you have a mail address hosted on their servers, when they delete your mailbox, it's gone. Your only recourse is to have them deal with it and, for a while, send out a "not here any more" message.

As a little tip, don't put your email address in plain view. The Internet - and this site is probably no exception - is full of web crawlers that harvest mail addresses for spam. Edit your message ASAP!

An auto reply of "This is no longer a valid email address" is NOT an answer on how to have "legacy" emails forwarded to a new, current email address. In point of fact, there ARE forwarding services available; My search for one of them led me here, only to find your lame response. And you are an IT consultant????
For what it's worth, keep your advice to yourself....
