anbullspl
Hi,

I am facing a problem in my GPO policy setting.
Issue: Policy not getting applied in Win XP system.
We have two different Vlan (Vlan 3 & Vlan4).In Vlan those vlan we have both win 7 & Winxp based systems. In Vlan 4 win& based system policys are applying and its working based on the GPO settings. WinXP policy are not applying. But if we remove the Winxp from vlan4 to Vlan3. Policy are appling to winxp based systems.Requesting soem to help on this trouble shooting.

We have found that in event viewer we are getting the error 1030& 1058 Userenv.

Thanks in advance

GPO uses DNS and NetBios to push updates. Of course both DNS and NetBios are broadcast-based protocols. VLANs are used, among other things, to restrict broadcast domains.

So at a high level, do you have both Active Directory and DNS working across multiple VLANs?

Are these policy-based or port-based VLANs, and how are you doing inter-VLAN routing?

DNS & AD server is in different VLAN it can can accessed by both the Vlan(Vlan3 & Vlan4).Inter Vlan routing is done in L3 switch.
