I can see comupters on both, can access laptop from desktop, cannot access desktop from laptop. gives me "do not have access rights when I click decktop. I am a student just beginning programming and have "some" networking studys from 1999 on NT, so please be gentle on tech verbage.

First make sure that the WiFi access point is properly setup to connect with the Wired LAN.

Once this is done and if you still have no ability to browse the LAN run the Network Setup Wizard again and make sure that you enable File & Printer Sharing and use the same Workgroup name as used on the other computer.

If everything is correctly setup you should be able to install the printer drivers on the NB and point these to the desktop to print from.

With most networking Problems involving WiFi the problem is in the Router or WiFi Access Point where it is not allowing the WiFi and wired LAN's to interact properly.
