Thanks, Andrew, for the quick reply. The information in your reply sounds very thorough. I think I should have made myself a bit more clear of what I was trying to do. I'm trying to develop web applications in which I want to include forms, of which the information entered would be entered into a microsoft database. I have no problem with forms. It's only when I try to test the applications and to view the database associated with the form that I get "ADOBC connection error 800a0e7a provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed." All the research I've done on this subject has lead me to my original question which you've replied to. I understand that Windows 7 for 32 bit machines does not have this problem, but Windows 7 for 64 bit machines does, and I have Windows 7 and a 64 bit machine. Hope this help to clarify my original question. Thanks again. JD
