    If it is in windows go to advanced in tcp/ip properties of network/NIC.

    If it is linux Let me know i will guide you.

    For Windows:

    Access the local area connection by clicking Start > Programs > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections> Local Area Connection
    Click Properties button
    Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
    Click Advanced button
    Click Add button in the IP addresses section of the IP Settings tab
    Enter a proper IP address (for example, 10.1.200.40) and Subnet Mask (for example, 255.255.255.240), then click Add
    Click OK to close the Advanced TCP/IP Settings property sheet
    Click OK to close the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) property sheet
    Click OK to close the Local Area Connection property sheet
