Rotational speed is part of the drive specs, so you have to use google for that.

throughput would be tested with something like drive-bench

I googled the model number and got all my information. It was so simple that I am embarrassed that I asked the question.

Thanks again,

Steve

OH Smeg

It doesn't mean that the computer is reading or writing Data to it at that speed.

This is more a function of the M'Boards HDD Controller as to how fast the Data can be accessed from the Drive. :)

1. Go in to garage(Well my garage for sure)

2. Get the circa 1970 bike speedometer(the kind that has a ball on the end that rubs against the spinning tire, to get the speed)

3. Open the case of your PC, remove hard drive from case housing and remove cover of HD.

4. With all components plugged in, turn on PC and quickly grab the ball end of the speedometer and apply it to surface of hard drive.
(Suggestion, stay AWAY from the arm that flicks back and forth.)

5. Watch speedometer.

Sorry kinda bored, my mind wandered, and I felt like typing...

Leave the SPEEDO attached to the bicycle, fit a pannier basket and put a heavy gauge car battery in it. Attach an inverter to the crossbar with some duct tape and wire the hard drive accordingly.

With a bit of ingenuity (there's always a spark needed somewhere!) rig the disassembled hard drive to the rim of the back wheel, - breakneck speed might be achieved with ease!! :^0
