How to increase maximum number of users in WinXP/Win2K sharing of folder?

    options when you opened the Share this Folder bit for the folder. The best way for a home LAN is to simply add all the allowed users.

    XP Home supports a maximum network of five computers and five simultaneous connections to an individual PC.

    XP Professional's network size is not limited, but the maximum number of simultaneous connections to an individual PC is ten.

    Both of the above apply to a Workgroup and XP HOME cannot connect to a Domain anyway.

    The rule does not apply to a Domain, but the maximum number of PCs that can simultaneously access any PC (share a file at the same time) is still 10.
