How to recover a parental control password

lwolfe
I am using CA security software and somehow a virus or spyware has made it's way on to my PC and changed the password for the administrator and deleted all other accounts so that now only a default account with no rights and the admin account which has had the password changed are left making the internet impossible to get to. What type of program do I need to be able to recover this. I have tried to delete the software and reinstall but as things are in my world you need the admin password to delete the *&^%&^% software.

HELP.

laod in the disc for the operating system and have it reformat the drive and reload the operating system - or just have the legal owner enter the proper password, if it's not yours.

It shows the posting was made on the 17th, but your membership shows you joined on the 18th?

    Neat trick.

And yes, ask your mommy what the password is. Spend less time surfing porn and she might even take the software off the system?

Everyone is so smug and self congradulatory that they have caught someone else doing something wrong. The responses here are useless. Another good useless response that has become popular is to do a google search for the issue and then put it as a link in the forum for the issue. Really disappointing if you got to that forum by doing the same search. We should assume that people know how to do google searches now, I think. I will try Experts Exchange.

If you want help cracking something, which I assume you do or you wouldn't have dug up this old thread, then pay an expert to do it for you. That way, they can physically verify ownership before they do anything and confiscate the equipment when they find otherwise. In today's world of stolen computers where intellectual property and identity theft are rampant, physical ownership verification is mandatory. But, of course, you already knew that or you wouldn't be searching for FREE help.

And, by the way, forums haven't become useless. The users simply have an educated eye on the types of fraudulent requests people try to slip by them.
