How to separate out dates in excel?

I have dates from 2008 - 2015 in one column and want to group them in date order, how do I write the formula?

Hi, If you just want them listed in order then you can select all of the rows (2 to the end if you have headers) then use the sort function (varies between versions, but I think it is on the data tab on 2007 & 2010). Just select the column number & sort ascending in the dropdowns.
Alernatively, assuming your column names are in on row 1, select the entire sheet by clicking the little square above row 1 and to the left of column A then press filter. On newer versions of excel you can then click on the little arrow which has appeared at the top of your date column and sort by date or select any year, month or specific date and excel will then show appropriate entries below. To clear the selection and see everything again you can either click on the little arrow again and select the "all" option, or remove the filter completely by pressing filter on the toolbar again.
    Good luck.

    Sounds simple enough. Thank you.
