IP addess in system32 file - it's taking up 183 mb?

kari
What is this? I was running a diskanalysis trying to clean up some huge outdated files and came across this weird little entry. The file type is 78 File.

I don't know what it is and couldn't find an answer on google...

It isn't for either of our printservers or my static IP address or the IP of our wireless network.

C:\windows\system32\###.###.#.##
I didn't know if I should put the actual IP address in my post...

I think it is something to do with the "ip bus" , a little bit of programming for a whole lot of ip addresses if you need them. I would not get rid of them if i were you. Unless you want to reload your os/files/music etc. Please post back if you have any more questions or problems.

Change the name of the file from ######.78 to ######.old. Reboot and see if there are any issues with the software you use. Maybe run for a week or month. If no issues, delete the file. If there are isssues, rename the file back.
