ipad 3 stuck in recovery mode

andrewli429
I jailbroke this ipad sometime ago and just updated it to 7.1.2, it's now stuck in recovery mode and won't come out even though I tried the button pressing method(pressing the home and lock button together). There's a lot of photos on it that wasn't backed up, is there a way to get the ipad out of recovery mode or retrieve the data inside it?

Can you reset your iPad? Try resetting it and hold the volume up button until it completely boots up. That may get you out of boot loop. If it starts up, I would remove any tweaks you recently installed. If not, then do a backup rather than sync, then restore.

I posted it in some other similar threads today and have had three people reply that it worked for them too, and nobody so far saying it hasn't worked with iPad Data Recovery. And yes, everything was still on my iPad; contacts, web bookmarks, all photos, nothing was changed. It just didn't update to iOS 8. After I got it working again I just used Wi-Fi and upgraded to iOS 8 over the air with no problems, using it as I type this. If you're still stuck, trying this will not endanger anything at all on your device. Worth a try at least, and I'm guessing it'll work for you to recover lost data of iPhone stuck in recovery mode.
    Good luck!

The button pressing method to enter or exit recovery mode is complicated and can't ensure for success 100%, it is not recommended since there is ReiBoot which can help you with recovery mode screen with one click. Just have a try, it is totally free. http://www.tenorshare.com/products/reiboot.html

Hi Guys, its all well and good recovering deleted data but you need to get it back to your iOS device, all these links just recover and export into CSV or XLS. This solution comes with a free iOS app to restore the data back to your device www.enigma-recovery.com its a bit expensive but i guess so are all the others

If your iPad is stuck in recovery mode, you can use FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery to have a "Restart" of it, which can make your iPad work as normal and after that you can recover lost files of your iPad at the same time.
    You cannot miss it.

Put it into DFU mode and try restore again. BTW in recovery mode you also can do that. But if problem persist, put it into DFU mode.
