keep same windows7 on sysmtem after a monther board change?

hi there im just wondering is it possible to keep the same windows 7 on my system after ive change motherboar since windows 7 is using the new wim tech.lets say i boot the machine to safe mode or command promp and run sysrep to oobe and restart the machine would that strip out all the drivers and keep my docs or from cmd maually strip out the driver for the motherboard?

    ok i notice that even after ive change the motherboard with different chipset windows boots normally and i can remove the old driver manually.

    one driver isn't enough.

    it might be a good idea to do a repair install, that way the windows system files and the system algorithm hash can be resync'd to the new equipment.

    You also have to consider activating your copy of Windows 7, since if it is an OEM then the motherboard change may not allow it to be activated.
