Laptop starting problem

khusid
I'm using HP 630 Laptop. When i press start button it display a black window namely "System Information" and that window displaying Notebook model, product number, serial number, bios version etc...and in the end of the window showing 'press <Esc> to continue' then when i press <Esc> another window displaying namely "Windows Boot Manager" this window displaying 'Choose an operating system to start, or press tab to select a tool' then when i selecting windows 7 and press <Enter> then the windows is Starting.

But, before a few days ago when i press start button it directly goes to starting windows. Why this happening? Pls Tell me the solution. Thank you.

Depending on who much this is plugged into Mains Power the BIOS Battery could have gone flat and need replacing, the BIOS may have been cleared or someone may have messed with the BIOS Setup and returned it to defaults without setting the Data & Time.

What you can try is reseting the BIOS to defaults and set the current Data & Time and then save the changes as you exit the BIOS and see if that works.

If it does leave it and keep going and if it doesn't you'll need to look at a hardware problem. That could be anything from a faulty M'Board to a Flat BIOS Battery.

Regardless everything you require is covered in the Owners Manual available here if you no longer have the one that came with the NB.
