linksys wireless router

i have a problem with my linksys wireless router. when i use my laptop to connect to the router, it is working fine, but when my sister tries to connect to the internet in our personal computer while i'm using the internet in my laptop, there is no connection of internet in our pc. after a few minutes, there will be a connection again, but it keeps on disconnecting while my sister's using it. this only happens every time we are both using the internet using my laptop and her pc, help pls.

    A couple of things:
    1)Unplug the router from power, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in to restart it then restart your computers ONE at a time. See if you can then stay on the internet.

    2)One other possibility is an IP Address conflict. You'd notice it as a yellow triangle in the lower right hand corner by the system clock and the popup would say "ip conflict" (pretty sure that's it).

    Give it a shot and see what happens. Good luck!

    Also check for IP address conflict, you could see the forum for "DHCP problem? Can't connect to Internet, and wireless router...."

    and also after that, try ipconfig /renew on the command prompt of both the computers and confirm that your ip addresses are different.
