+ 0 Votes Here is what worked for me... kwiltse 6 years ago We had a new Exchange server put in and several users did not launch Outlook while the old server was still on line to redirect them to the new server. When they eventually logged on Outlook was failing trying to reach the old Exchange server. I downloaded the Office toolkit and ran the Maintanence Wizard (maintwiz.exe), which has a series of questions that will populate an Outlook Profile file (.prf file). The .prf file contains the name of the new Exchange server and the %UserName% variable. Once this file has been created, double clicking it will launch Outlook and will redirect the profile to the new Exchange server (you may be prompted about shortcut redirects, etc). Once the Outlook profile has been updated to point to the new server Outlook can be used normally (.prf file is no longer needed for that user). In addition the same .prf file can be used for all users. Remember that unless you are using roaming profiles it may need to be done on every workstation where the user had previously connected using Outlook. Also, be sure to get the Office toolkit that's appropriate for your version of Office. Good luck! + 0 Votes Link for Office toolkit??? igors 5 years ago Can you add the link for Office toolkit please!!!!
