Sorry if this sounds stupid but can anyone name some popular Network Operating Systems.

    (1) Your budget (windows = big budget ; Linux = low budget)
    (2) Your staff background and Skills.
    (3) Your future plane.
    (4) Reliability, availability, security.

    Really almost all versions of Windows 95 and up can classify nowadays as a Network Operating system.
