No images on IE 7 or IE 6

Sage's Unicorn
Hi;
I ask Microsoft about this and they were as helpful as soggy bread! Can anyone please help me or give me any suggestions?
I had IE 6, it worked ok, but a couple of months ago images just started not showing up. So, I downloaded IE 7 hoping maybe that would solve my problem. No luck. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it, it's pretty useless! I can read on it but if I want to click on something I have to get off of it and go somewhere else.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this? Or at least what is wrong? I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to computers but I do notice when things disappear!
I thank you so much for any help!

    What shows up instead?

    Check the browser's Internet Options > Security tab and look for options that might prevent image downloads.

    I would go to internet properties, advanced tab and then reset all to defaults. Try that and see how it works and let us know.

    Thank you very much for answering my question, I did check the security tab in options, I did not see anything that should cause a problem, I still do not have images but I appreciate your help just the same.

    You still didn't let us know what appears in their place. Is it text, or a placeholder? Does it appear to be the correct size or is it a small outlined box with an icon within? If the icon, what does the icon look like?

    Generally it appears that they are approximately the correct size and most of the time there is the outline of a box with a small x on the top left hand side and sometimes an alternate text, sometimes not, I guess some people do not provide alternate text. If there is no alternate text then you just see an empty box and you don't know what it is for. Oddly enough though, most of the time, you see the nonclickable images and only the clickabe images are out.
    Let me know if you need more information and thank you so much again;
