The Sound Blaster 5.1 Live is a Sound Blaster card and should install the Default Sound Blaster drivers when you install XP.

The cmi8738/c3dx pci audio Is a Driver for one of the Realtech Sound Devices and isn't suitable for Sound Blaster Audio Cards/Chip Sets.

So what exactly do you have here?

Sound Blaster 5.1 Live Drivers are available here

    http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/creativesb51.html

if you have a Realtech Audio Chip Set here you need to install the Driver for it before connecting tot he Windows Update server as Realtech Drivers are not Digitally Signed with M$ and need to be installed before connecting to the Windows Update Servers.
