Office Printing Costs

jack.meikrantz
I'm looking for a white paper or other information that addresses the labor costs associated with using a group or centralized printer -- specifically the time required for an employee to walk to the printer, retrieve their copy, return to their work station and get back up to speed on the task they were performing

The company does not really care about the time required for an employee to walk to the printer, retrieve their copy, return to their work station and get back up to speed on the task they were performing.

However the company can see how much they can save on the cost of more printers, ink, paper, maintenance, and service.

Virtually every large company has this rule now. Only those who must print confidential information usually get their own printer.

Most companies are more interested in the cost Per Page to print than the cost of having a staff member to do the actual printing and retrieving the printed material from the printer/s.

Depending on the business concerned and any Privacy Concerns with what is actually printed I don't think that you'll find much as this is more of a Time & Motion problem rather than a printing issue.

Though if you Goggle Time & Motion Reports you may find a Template that comes close to suiting your needs.
