Outlook 2002 - Message Rules

chrisstuart
Current issue is that I am unable to create any message rules (ie mail from bob into folder named 'bob'). I receive the following error "One or more rules could not be uploaded to Exchange server and have been deactivated. This could be because some of the parameters are not supported or there is insufficient space to store all your rules." I have researched the following 2 kb articles and unfortunately they did not work.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886616/
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910875

Then I attempted to create another profile on another computer in the office and I was victorious in creating rules on that box. My question is do you know of any registry of config settings that can cause this to occur on my computer and how to resolve

    Good Day, everyone!

first time posting- i beat my head against the wall with this problem for hours until I finally remembered the old Outlook switches.
You may want to export your existing rules before running this command, and re-import after you're done.
Click start, select run, type outlook.exe /cleanrules- this will delete all existing rules, but it will allow you to create new ones.
