phpmyadmin root password

I can't access my phpmyadmin, i have removed the root password but i still can't have access...........

Was it working at any point in time, or is this a new install?

Is this on a local connection or over the Internet?

Can you login to the database at the command line?

Hi,
i managed to solve the problem, thank you. i just allowed password=true in config.inc.php
