I assume the root of your problem is you can't make a direct connection to your MMORPG's server, correct? Do you have a friend who leaves his computer on all the time who might allow you to "borrow" his PC and connection?

If so, take a look at (not .com). It's free and does a couple of things. First, it will allow your friend to serve as a VPN tunnel endpoint. Secondly, it will allow you to tunnel to his PC and use it as a quasi-proxy. The short of it is, his PC will provide you with an IP address and act as a mini-ISP.

It's all in the documentation.

In addition, if the university has blocked the typical TCP and UDP ports utilized in the construction of VPN tunnels, the OpenVPN suite can be configured to tunnel through the university's proxy server via SSL.

I'm not sure how well it will work for your game and you could have latency issues as well, especially if your friend is flooding his connection with other stuff.

But it's worth a try to **** off steam at the end of a long day.

Good luck with it,
