The most basic pre-requisite to helping you is knowing what actually happens when she can't connect. Presumably there is an error message. What is it? What did you find when you Googled said error message?

As a start I'd consider these things:
* Remove the network cable and disable wireless then try again
* Is there a VPN in play?
* Is there a GPO or registry setting to disable use of cached credentials?
* Which events are logged upon the failed login?
* Does the user have a roaming profile or redirected folders?
