Public Calendars and Reminders

I am new to working with Exchange and public calendars. I have a group of users that the public calendars in Outlook to schedule equipment use. They all have their Outlook configured not to automatically add a reminder to new appointments. The issue they are having is that when one of them sets up an appointment in the calendar the appointment is set up without a reminder. Then they send the appointment to the other users who accept the appointment. The originator of the appointment never gets a reminder because the appointment isn't set up with one, the other users (unless they remember to unclick the reminder box) get reminders on the appointment because when they accept it it is automatically assigned a reminder of 15 minutes.

This problem came about after we moved our Exchange server from one server to another. Is there a setting somewhere that could have been missed or something that would have caused this problem? I have run the 'outlook /cleanreminders' command and I also ran the 'outlook /cleanfreebusy' command and that didn't help any.

Any suggestions?

    You didn't mention which version of Outlook and Exchange, but for Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2007, try opening outlook with these switches:

    Outlook /sniff

    Also, when you moved the Exchange server, did you also move the Public Folders from the old server to the new server?
