Rebuild registry in Vista x64

Georgeh1960
Is there a command line tool that will rebuild the Vista x64 registry? I ran a 32 bit utility on the registry and kind of hosed it and now all I get is the BSOD when it boots up. I can boot from the install cd and get to a DOS prompt.

This article came right off of this site. I have not read it so I don't know how good it is but it is something to try.

And do a "repair", this will bring you out of the BSOD error. Other wise you might need to re-install the system again. Just try the repair option first, if you have data on the drive then get another drive and make the old drive SLAVE (if ide). If SATA then just connect it to another SATA port on the motherboard. Make sure that you go into the BIOS first to make the drive you want to boot from is listed as the FIRST BOOT device.

Boot to the Vista DVD. It will begin to install (don't panic) It will then stop at a screen that has an "install now" button. DO NOT click on it. Down towards the left is a link that says something like "other options or maybe advanced options" its the only other link on the screen. Click on that then choose the "use system restore".
The article mentioned by Matt only works for XP.
