With Pro you can combine/merge files and similar tasks, in addition to being able to edit PDFs. You can create macro-like shortcuts called 'guided actions' "Standardize routine, multistep PDF creation tasks using automated or guided Actions, working with a single file or batches of files" http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-task-automation-action-wizard.html http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro.html + 0 Votes IrfanView.... wizard57m-cnet Moderator Updated - January 18, 2013 at 9:15am PST it does more than just image viewing! www.irfanview.com And it's freeware! + 1 Votes A search on 'PaperPort Alternatives' found this: robo_dev Updated - January 18, 2013 at 5:40am PST http://www.lucion.com/filecenter-overview.html It actually looks pretty neat, I will try it at home. Call a CPA firm [ local , not Big 4 ] to ask what they use--many smaller firms use Fujitsu hardware....the software might be available separately. Last, SilverFast used to offer upgraded versions of the software they provided for the likes of MicroTek. They have always supported a huge number of manufacturers with their add-on sofware. + 0 Votes IrfanView.... wizard57m-cnet Moderator Updated - January 18, 2013 at 9:15am PST it does more than just image viewing! www.irfanview.com And it's freeware!
