There are many sources of help for this problem.

Try on this site for some (Tech Republic):

http://tinyurl.com/s9pkz

or.........

One program I found particularly helpful when I had a similar problem was ZeroAssumptions freeware download, link here:

http://tinyurl.com/y7pu9s

It recovered many images from my SD card, some that I didn't even know were there!!!

Or simply Google
SD Image recovery
and you'll get many options, some freeware.

Good luck.

I had the same problem.
To avoid this, connect the camera with the USB cable supplied by the manufacturer. NEVER use the "Card Ports" in the computer.
Companies tend to create a different format on the SD cards not compatible with windows 100% and they vary by manufacturer.

If you have not taken new pictures, try this program FLOBO Photo Digital Recovery, but use the cable for the camera and connect it to the USB port.

Select the drive letter for that camera and wualla>>>> you?ll get your pictures.

The program cost 29 and change. But is worth it. I got back 235 pictures from my 1Gig SD card that got corrupted when I inserted the card in the computer. Good luck!

Please try data recovery wizard. I have used it to recover my SD card easily. You could download the demo version to scan your lost data. http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/

In order to Recover Images from SD card use the most powerful photo recovery software. One of the photo recovery software is Remo Recover (Windows) which is an assortment of data recovery components designed to recover deleted / lost files and folders, photos, RAW images, music & video files from crashed, re-partitioned, accidentally formatted partitions & drives. This Low cost data recovery software is worth the money spent if the information that needs recovering is worth it. It is more like an investment and could well save a business a lot more expense having to replace the old data.

i dont think software will work if the controller on your card is corrupt. I found this out the hard way - i had just returned from vacation and found my card to be inaccessable. Once you cant read the card no software is going to work. So i looked around for card recovery and found one company - they are in germany which made me somewhat unsure about it. but i sent them the card priority mail and 4 days later i had a preview of my lost pics on their website. Company is RecoverFab, link here. http://card-recovery.biz/us/service.php
i would use them again

thx

What kind of price level are talking about for hardware recovery?
I have one flashcard from a vacation, where one days worth of photos got lost when the camera fell down on the floor. I'd guess a tiny wire inside the card is broken, so just software won't help me...
