Recovery Console

safteypinkisses
So my dad was trying to use the recovery console feature from our Windows XP disc but instead of showing the screen below it went to what I'm assuming to be the whole Windows OS install

Is there any way at all to get it to go back to operating as normal or to close out of said setup? We hadn't actually run it as my dad hit the R key to run the recovery console from the CD

This will stop the install process, and if Windows is broken, will not make it any more broken.

Getting back to normal will involve fixing XP....what is wrong (what does it do when Windows tried to start)??

It looks like what my dad did was run the whole OS reinstall, everytime the computer is restarted it just resumes the setup unless we press one of the F keys to choose one of the different menus on startup. But it goes to the setup page for the OS install everytime we turn on the computer with no way of canceling it, it just goes far enough to ask for the product key for it. Believe me we tried rebooting the stupid thing multiple times before even checking the web
