SATA PCI Card boot from Intel Motherboard

leosung
Hi,

I've got a problem that my SATA PCI Card (MP-1650) cannot be booting automatically after start up.

I couldn't find a way to set up the boot from PCI instead in the BIOS (Intel MB D845PEBT2). I am trying to find a way to integrate the SATA PCI Card modules into the M/B BIOS. However, I could get nothing info. abt the modules while using the "CBROM (My BIOS file).itk /d" n it should only :

SystemBIOS
Other

couldn't get the basis module info...

Just wonder if any guys could fix it. Thanks!!

While it does not make sense anymore, the default BIOS setting to boot from a hard drive connected to a plug-in (PCI) controller card is to select SCSI as the boot device.

You still may need to install the SATA drivers using the F6 option to install storage drivers when you install Windows onto your SATA drive. But, the SCSI boot option will boot your system from an alternate storage controller.
