Spybot Search and Destroy

Does it load up rather slowly? that is what I have found.

    It took like 5 minutes to load on a neighbor's PC that had three spywares and two viruses.

    I'm running Spybot, and it adds maybe 5 seconds to the bootup time. If you can get it up to date, then run a safe mode scan, you might see some difference.

    Don't depend on Spybot alone. Make sure you have a good VS like AVG and use Ad-aware as well, or other spyware tools. CCleaner is a great registry cleaner. Check out Download.com's listing of antivirus, spyware and firewall SW. Read the editor and user reviews. I find them helpful.

    I am not sure if it is because of the size of the definitions or what. Here is another Spybot tip. To load all user hives. Run the executable from the Run (or cmd) with the /allhives switch i. e.
    "C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" /allhives

    Has anyone used Hazard Shield from Orbitech?
