SQL database error

I have client getting this message on her computer im not to cluey on ms access so im asking you guys

Error:

OBDC--call failed.

[microsoft][obdc sql server driver] sql server]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ModifiedDate', table 'Coursebooking.dbo.course'; coulumn does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. (#515) [microsoft][obdc sql server driver][dql server] the statement has been terminated. (#3621)

    Inflated into normal speech:

    The procedure she just used, tried to write an entry to the table "Course".

    However, this entry was rejected by the database, since no value was given for the parameter "ModifiedDate".

    You can fix this in any of two ways.

    A. (Easiest, but may create other problems) Open the table Course in Access, bring up the parameters for the column ModifiedDate, change "Mandatory" (or whatever) from yes to no.

    B. (Better) Find the procedure she used to add an entry. In the insert statement, you need to add the current date in the right format either in the correct position among all commas, or add the named parameter if such are used.

    However, this particular field should be populated automatically, I believe.
