STCAgent Event id 2

We use terminal service for users logging into windows server 2003 R2. Every time someone logs into the server the following error is in the event log.

-----------------------------------------------
Event Type: Error
Event Source: STCAgent
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2
Date: 6/4/2009
Time: 10:53:30 AM
User: N/A
Computer: CITRIX01
Description:
Termination reason code 10 [FAST_USER_SWITCH]
-----------------------------------------------

Can anyone give me a reason why this might be happening? I am not sure what other information to post with this. I have been searching the Internet for help, but haven't been able to really find anything that is like this. It doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but I don't like seeing errors.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I am not exactly sure what your users are logging on to thiss terminal server for, what type of application is running. But when I see a "Termination reason code" in the error message, that's where I would start. Try disabling Fast User Switching on your client computers. Or just test it on one or two to see if it still generates the error. Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off > Uncheck the box for Fast User Switching.

For more info on fast user switching, <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279782" target="_blank">click here</a>.

    Hope this helps.

There isn't a user accounts option in the control panel. Also, there isn't a Fast User Switching service running either, nor is it even listed in the services. Employees access the server via thin clients. The server is running Windows Server 2003.

Sounds like your VPN is trying to start some services. These can be set to manual start if you don't mind the hassle.
