Stop sending me emails!

peter.morris
I am getting daily emails from this site. I have followed the subscription link in these emails and unsubscribed about 3 times yet still they come, I have emailed various addresses @techrepublic.com to ask to be removed and they either bounce or get ignored.

So now here I am, can somebody *please* stop me from receiving emails that I do not want!

One option you have is to make a junk hotmail or gmail account for TR then you dont have to worry about the emails, dont have much of a problem with them myself so im not sure how to stop them but at least with a hotmail or gmail account there not interfering with your work emails and then you can just go in and see whats useful and whats not.

going to your profile and de-selecting any/all of the checked "Send me this" boxes?

I know that this question is similar to "Are you sure it is plugged in?" but somebody has to ask.

Log on to TR. Be sure to use the email address where you are receiving the unwanted mail. At the top right of the page is a link titled "My Newsletters." Click on this link. At the bottom of the subscription page is a checkbox for "Unsubscribe from all." Check this, then click on "Update my Account."

    This should fix your problem.

Note: You will have to do this for each TR account that is receiving unwanted emails. Hopefully, you only have one.
