+ 0 Votes I'm not sure that I understand what you mean OH Smeg Updated - 6 years ago Do you mean that the system will not Log on to Windows or that you are unable to reinstall the OS? If it's the second this is happening because these is a SATA HDD in the Toshiba and XP doesn't natively support this Drive Type you need to add SATA Drivers by pressing the F6 Key when the first Blue screen appears in the Windows Install Process and wait to be prompted to insert a Floppy Disc into the A Drive with the SATA Drivers copied to the Root of the Floppy. If you don't have a floppy you can make your own Slipstreamed Install Disc by following the directions here http://tinyurl.com/326fg3 http://tinyurl.com/5q2jsw I've included both links just in case TR is still experiencing difficulties so you can read the item on line if it is not possible to download it. While this mainly covers adding a Service Pack you can also add additional Patches & Drivers as covered. Or you can use a Software option to do the same thing nLite is available free here to do the same thing just read the Destructions on line to make sure you know ho it works. http://tinyurl.com/e2mo4 If you mean that you are unable to Log into Windows after it is installed that is something completely different.
