trouble accessing netcomm modem router

Okay so this morning my netcomm modem/router (model NB604N) was reset and from that point forward when i came in to try and access the device it wont let me. the wireless SSID has changed back to the default and i assume that the password has aswell so accessing it that way has proved fruitless.
next i got out my ethernet cable and attempted a direct connection but i keep getting 'unidentified network' under network and sharing center (win7 x64 ultimate)
ive tried searching though the netcomm forums but nothing helped just thought id ask here if anyone has had this issue or has some input to my dilema.
by cant gain access i mean no connection to the router is possible once that is extablished i am sure i can find out if the ip has changed or any login isssues.
