Ubuntu email server

adminmichael
I have an mail address where say my email is user@domain.com i setup an email server at home running on ubuntu server I'm using postfix, and imap, and dovecot but my issue is somewhere along the lines i must have configured something incorrectly and thought that i could go back and possible change that setting. So as of now my email is (example) user@www.domain.com how can i remove that www before the domain.com so when i tell people to email me at user@domain.com it makes more since there isn't an issue with sending and receiving as it works with the www. but just an i killer looking at the www. in the email address.

Any help is appreciated.

you should register a valid domain, and set NS for your domain that point to your server IP address.

and install DNS server on your ubuntu, and in DNS server you can make MX record for email validation and in email server you can set your domain name and make email address
