Just remember to update both and then boot into Safe Mode before running any scans.

If you insert a URL into one of your replies it gets deleted. What I do is insert a space between the Domain Name and the .com or whatever and it doesn't cause the post to be deleted.

It's one of the advantages of being a Public Site I removed about 25 posts from the one person last night because they found a way around posting URL's to Money Making Sites without getting deleted. You know the thing Jason makes some many Thousand Dollars working from home Yada Yada Yada.

Anyway the Spammers make it harder for the rest of us who are here to help and we have to put up with them Hitting the site relentlessly.

Microsoft Security Essentials is just fine, and so is the free Panda Cloud Antivirus. Malwarebytes is decent, but unnecessary. You should focus more on keeping a clean system clean, rather than chasing malware infections. What you really need is a more comprehensive approach to security.

By far, the greatest threat to your PC comes from unpatched software vulnerabilities (especially Java and Adobe products). The free Secunia PSI (personal software inspector) will help keep all your installed software up to date.

Don't run your computer as Administrator (set up a "Standard User" account for daily use), and don't install any software without researching it first. Google is your friend.

Don't open any email attachments or downloads until you scan them with the VirusTotal website that scans with 40+ antivirus engines. Install their handy upload utility that integrates with Windows Explorer to upload files just by right-clicking on them.

Use a hardware router that has an SPI firewall, and keep your built-in Windows firewall turned on. Set your router to use Norton's DNS servers that provide malware blocking at the DNS level (google "Norton ConnectSafe for Home")

Don't fall for any stupid "social engineering" tactics. Assume everything is designed to trick you into installing malware, or visiting a malicious webpage.

Do all your Internet banking with a Linux Live CD (or USB flash drive). This will bypass any keyloggers/malware you may have on your hard drive.

When it comes time to scan your system for malware, use one of the free Live CD's, like the Avira AntiVir Rescue System.

You really don't need any more than that.
