Want to Edit Within "Program Files x86" directory

Kevin Robinson
Hi, I'm using Vista 64 bit. Recently, I've been unable to edit files within a program that I had previously been able to edit within. Its an audio program, I had created new wav/mp3 files as well as editing those files. Last weekend, I went to record something new, and it told me something like "restricted access" or "U don't have permission to..." or some such nonsense.

It appears I'm locked out of the entire directory as far as writing/editing/creating.

I'm the only user of the PC (HP pavilion), and I'm the admin, but I just can't figure this out.

Thanks in advance.

Your existing profile may be corrupt.

Create another user and see how you get on with that.

Save them elsewhere - your user folders (Documents) is your best bet.

Program Files is for program files not video and audio.

Whatever software you have isn't playing politely with Vista, there ae some ways round that, but easiest and best is to have it put the files it creates in say My Videos or some such.

What utter tosh & piffle!

How dare this computer which can handle some sort of millions-of-instructions-per-second-nonsense even imagine that it might be correct and that I could even possibly be wrong!

I've a good mind to turn it off and punish it.

That'll show it who's BOSS, eh?!!

Yours sincerely,
