What's the best way to study for A Certification?

intj-astral
I'm wondering what the best way to go about it is- independently, through a school, or through some sort of prep package?

A+ Certification isn't bad at all if you already know what you're doing with computers. I went online, used several practice tests, then went in, took it, and passed with a record time. It's pretty much a know-it-or-you-don't test, and shouldn't be that bad for a decent technician. One caveat: I've been certified for 5 years, and still haven't found a job in the tech sector.

As the previous poster said the A+ IT Technician exam is pretty easy if you already know your way around computers. The Microsoft exams I have taken have been more tests of your ability to analyze and implement for a situation. If you have trouble just understanding something from just reading it I would recommend finding a tutor or taking instructor led courses as that way you can ask questions and they can offer a different analytical angle that may click better.
